Membership is open to all Chester Park residents - the 165 households located north of Willow, east of the Hutch. and west of Pelhamdale Ave. - as well as non-residents through our "Friends of the Park" program. Everyone is strongly encouraged to join and participate in their Association. The benefits are numerous. At minimum, our property values dictate that we take an active interest in the maintenance and well-being of the Park. But in a larger sense, we are a true community of neighbors who live, work, support and very often befriend one another.

The Park is such a jewel, a fantastic place to play, yet unfortunately it has been rendered almost useless by dog feces! I tried to have a catch with my son last week and we both stepped in it before 5 minutes had passed! If you have a dog, please keep it on a leash and clean up after it. If you see others allowing their dogs to run in the Park, please remind them that others would also like to use the Park. |

Sept. 29, 2003 My Favorite Place - Of all places, I love to be in Chester Park. It is a small green in Pelham north of the parkway. It's a really cool place to hang out. There are dogs, cats, and birds all living together in harmony. You can bring your dog to Chester Park and let him/her run around with their leash off. In Chester Park my friend and I Ryan Taverna organized the first annual dog show!! In Chester Park you can run around, but watch out for all those bumpy roots! There's also stairs you can climb up and down. Also, when you go you should put on some bug-off because there are so many mosquitoes!!! When you visit birds chirp, dogs bark and trees breathe. At night there are 40 to 50 crickets all chirping at the same time. It's beautiful. You can also have a sandwich at the park. When you go you can tell nature is there. |

Mar. 22, 2002 The Neighborhood dogs are complaining! Please be more careful so that we can all enjoy our nice neighborhood and not have to enforce already existing laws about clean up! |
