Political posters in Chester Park

Political posters promoting the Town Supervisor, Councilman, Clerk and Justices linger long after the election is over.  The aggressive poster campaign seemed particularly ironic considering these officials ran uncontested.

While the Village government strictly limits  temporary signs (§ 77-13), municipal, political and not-for-profits may be granted an exception.

The code specifically states that "a permit for political campaign posters shall be granted only for a period of three weeks prior to a primary, special or general election."  This sign remained up until Nov. 19th, two weeks after the election.
