Political posters promoting the Town Supervisor, Councilman, Clerk and
Justices linger long after the election is over. The aggressive
poster campaign seemed particularly ironic considering these officials ran
uncontested.

While the Village government strictly limits temporary signs (§ 77-13), municipal, political and not-for-profits
may be granted an exception.
The code specifically states that "a permit for
political campaign posters shall be granted only for a period of three
weeks prior to a primary, special or general election."
This sign remained up until Nov. 19th, two weeks after the
election.
